Heat Resistance And Steady Filter Rating Sintered Filter Mesh 1-100 Micron
The most economical method for sintered filter discs and simple flat shapes is the process of stamping (“blanking”). Most of our sintered filter mesh discs are cut from rolls of wire mesh with readily available punch and die sets.
We can produce inexpensive “short-run” tooling for small quantity items or for large quantity parts we can furnish high production solid tooling.
Sintered Filter discs can be used as inline filters, inside pipes, tubes, ducts, and a wide range of other filtration applications. Discs can be supplied in a wide range of diameters, and utilizing other cutting methods they can be cut to fairly large sizes.
This type of sintered filter disc laminate is made by taking several layers of woven wire mesh and sintering them to a layer of perforated metal. The woven wire mesh layers consist of a filter layer, a protective layer, and possibly a buffer layer between the fine mesh layer and the perforated plate. The perforated plate is then added as the base and the entire structure is sintered together to form a very strong yet tractable plate.
Due to the support of the perforated plate, this type of sintered filter disc laminate has a high resistance to pressure and high mechanical strength. It is suitable for a variety of applications which require fine filtration, but also the need to protect and preserve the filtration layer. One example of an application is in oil wells, where fine particles need to be filtered under extremely high-pressure conditions.
